IBERMEDIAGROUP is a life sample of the development of a new company concept. The company was founded in 2003 by Christian Spychala and Amalia Medina Franco as one of the first companies to provide East Europe with full service range in post production of movies, replication and developing the distribution of contents in the publishing branch.
In the year 2003 and 2004 the company produced more than 2000 movies for the polish, czech and spanish market. Among these movies, Pianista, which won the Oscar to the best foreign movie in the past awards as well as other Hits like Chicago, Frida, Taxi 3, Goodbye Lenin, Asterix & Obelix and many others.
During the next four years the production volumen of the company grew so far that the management decided to invest in further production capacities and watched out for the right manufacturing plant.
In the year 2008 the management decided to take over and invest in a manufacturing plant in the polish City Goleniow which belongs to the most modern and biggest manufacturing facilities in Europe set up on a 20ha ground with best logistic connections. Nearly unlimited Storage capacities and the central situation of the plant bring the group a big adventage in relation to the competition.
Parallel to the invest in further production capacities the group built up a europewide red of sales and customer services companies from Portugal over Germany to the nordic countries.
Beginning of the year 2009 the group invested in an own printing plant and took over one of most modern and efficient printing plants in german Dassow which is operative since year 1893. This strategic movement made for the group possible to make the whole production procedure efficient and just in time within the group and gurantee best service and delivery time to our clients.
In order to move the group to a one-stop-shop for our clients and provide the whole range of services around the media industry it was missing a postproduction studio. March of 2009 a join venture with Takemaker S.L. in Barcelona made it possible to close this hole in our in house service range. The result is one of the most modern dubbing and authoring studios in Europe with 500 squer meters of state-of-the-art audio facilities.
